Florida Trip

Well, the trip was a success! I guess in my opinion the trip was a success...ask my husband who spent a week straight with his in-laws what he thought and you might get a different answer! :) We made it down to Florida on Christmas Eve day and got settled in. Khloe did great on the flights, she got a little scared when the plane was descending and said "Owie" when she got that feeling in her tummy. But other than that, she was great. She ate snacks, played games, read books, slept, and drew. We got lots of compliments on how great of a traveler she is, and how cute she is of course!

My sister and her family arrived later in the evening so we were all there for Christmas morning. We had brought a few gifts down so the little kids would have something to open Christmas morning, and then something to play with the rest of the week while we were there. Mostly, the week consisted of laying by the pool, swimming, hot tubbing, eating, visiting the beach, and relaxing. We didn't have anything too crazy planned since we had 3 kids with us, all under the age of 2, and it worked perfectly. We hung out around our rental house and went out exploring just the right amount in my opinion. I posted some pictures of the trip on Facebook, so if you are my friend you've probably seen them.

For some reason, Des Moines schools decided to have school today (Monday). So I headed back to work this morning, while Josh stayed home with Khloe. I have one word. Depressing.

Ugh, January & Feburary are LONG months in the education world. Here's hoping for a quick winter (mild wouldn't hurt either)!

Today was a long day, and after relaxing for 7 straight days...it was tiring! Good Night!
